Here is the planned itinerary for the weekend of the Reunion:

SATURDAY (7/14/07)
Colorado Springs Daytrip:

  1. Meet in Lobby: 8:00am
  2. Departure: 8:30am
  3. Arrival in Colorado Springs: 10:00am
  4. Pikes Peak 10:40am to 2:00pm
    • We will be taking the Pikes Peak Cog Railway up to the top of the mountain. It's a scenic ride to the top, where we'll be able to get out and stretch our legs for 45 minutes before heading back down again.
    • Tickets: $29.00. incl. tax, group rate of 25 or more. Children 3-12 are $16.00
    • MEALS
      • Basic Box Lunch - $8.00
      • Large Box Lunch - $12.00
      • Extra Large Box Lunch - $18.00

      The Basic Box Lunch includes a turkey/cheese or ham/cheese sandwich, chips, cookie, bottled water and 1 postcard.

    • The price of your ticket and the basic box lunch will be included in your registration fee. If you would like a larger box lunch, please indicate so when you register, as well as which kind of sandwich you prefer.
    • CAUTION: YOU WILL BE TRAVELING UP TO AN ELEVATION OF 14,110 FT. SOME PEOPLE MAY EXPERIENCE ALTITUDE SICKNESS WHICH MAY INCLUDE SYMPTOMS OF DIZZINESS, NAUSEA AND HEADACHES. IN ADDITION, IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR HAVE CARDIAC OR RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS, IT IS NOT ADVISED THAT YOU MAKE THE ASCENT WITHOUT FIRST CONSULTING YOUR PHYSICIAN.

      Note: The vast majority of passengers on the Cog Railway have no problems at all, but some people do experience discomfort. To minimize your chances of suffering from the above symptoms, it is advised that you get plenty of sleep the night before, avoid alcoholic beverages and drink plenty of water on the day of your trip. If you are unsure, consult a doctor!

  5. Depart for Garden of the Gods: 2:00pm
  6. Arrive @ Garden of the Gods: 2:20pm

    Garden of the Gods is an area filled with hiking trails surrounded by towering red rock spires. We will depart from Garden of the Gods for Denver 45 min. to an hour after 2:20pm, depending on when people wish to depart.

  7. Open Evening in Denver

Open Day in Denver
Dinner at Casa Bonita. Reservations will be for 5:00PM

MONDAY (7/16/07)
Depart for Home
